簡介

Dr. Steven Cohen is an internationally recognized plastic surgeon, inventor, artist, entrepreneur and lifelong student. He is in private practice in La Jolla California and a Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, San Diego. Initially interested in cardiovascular surgery, Dr. Cohen trained in general surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and did a two year fellowship in cardiac surgery at the National Institutes of Health. While at NIH, Dr. Cohen saw a magnificent program on the new field of Craniofacial Surgery and changed his career path. After completing general surgery at Dartmouth and a plastic surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Cohen went on to finish his training with a fellowship in Craniofacial and Facial Plastic Surgery at UCLA under the direction of Dr. Henry Kawamoto. Following his training, Dr. Cohen founded the Craniofacial Anomalies Program at the University of Michigan, where he served as Director of Craniofacial Surgery and Chief of Pediatric Plastic Surgery from 1990-94. From 1994-1999, Dr. Cohen served as co-director of the Center for Craniofacial Disorders at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and was in private practice at Atlanta Plastic Surgery. In 1999, Dr. Cohen relocated to San Diego, California and became director of Craniofacial Surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital. He stepped down into his full time aesthetic practice, FACES+, in 2017.
